I’ve always found peace and connection walking through graveyards — a tradition that started when I was a kid tagging along with my family each spring to clean our loved ones’ headstones. What began as a simple act of care became something much deeper: a love for local history and a respect for the stories etched in stone. Over time, I realized many graves no longer had anyone left in the area to tend to them, and that’s what inspired me to start this service. Today, I take pride in caring for both new and historic gravestones with the same respect and attention my own family taught me — preserving memories and honoring lives, one stone at a time.

Every stone tells a story — and it deserves to be treated with care. Our promise is to approach each project with the same respect and attention we’d give our own family’s memorials. Using only approved preservation techniques, we take time to clean gently, work safely, and protect the integrity of every stone. Whether we’re restoring a weathered monument or tending to one that’s been forgotten, our goal is the same: to honor memories, preserve history, and ensure every resting place reflects the dignity it deserves.

What services do you offer?

Offering gentle, professional cleaning and preservation of both new and historic gravestones throughout the Bemidji area. Services include one-time restorations, annual or twice-yearly maintenance, and resetting of flat stones. We are also available to contract to with cemetery associations to provide respectful, ongoing care for larger memorial areas or unattended plots.

How do you clean gravestones?

Our process uses gentle, non-invasive techniques to protect stone integrity.

You’re not alone — here are some of the most common things families ask before getting started, from pricing to process.

How much does a gravestone cleaning cost?
Costs vary depending on the condition and size of the monument. In general, a single cleaning starts at $150 for a single plot and ranges up to $300+ for larger or more detailed headstones. A quote will be provided after an assessment of the plot has been reviewed.

Do you offer ongoing maintenance?
Yes! After an initial cleaning, you can schedule maintenance cleanings for starting at $50 for a minimum of two visits per year. A quote can be provided to schedule for at whatever frequency you’d like — annually, seasonally, or as needed.

Can you level or reset flat stones?
Flat stone leveling or resetting is quoted individually after inspection, since ground conditions and stone size can vary.

Do you locate or mark memorials?
Yes — I can help locate or mark memorial sites for families. Memorial location services start at $50.

How do I get an estimate?
Every project begins with a simple evaluation. I’ll look at the stone’s condition, take photos if needed, and provide a clear, no-obligation quote before any work begins.

Cleaning time varies but typically takes a few hours per stone. After the initial cleaning it can take 2 weeks to 3 months to see the full results depending on mold and lichen growth.
